Graha Shanti Pooja (Graha = planets; Shanti = peace).
What to Expect: Please shower before attending poojas. Attendance not mandatory if you want to sleep in (jetlag!). Everything the priest says will be in Sanskrit so..enjoy!
What to Wear: Shoes are not allowed in the pooja area. For attire, check Haldi ceremony.
Fun Fact: "Akanksha" is Sanskrit for "desire". "Chris" is Sanskrit for "trapped for life".

Ganesh Pooja: Before any auspicious occassion, a prayer is prepared for Lord Ganesh, the destroyer of obstacles & evils - he is worshipped before everyone else. This ceremony is for good luck & prepares the couple for a new beginning.

Graha Shanti Pooja: This gives them a blissful marriage it makes sure that the influence of the nine planets is the least. It also ensures that the good effects of the planets are enhanced. Therefore he is called to give them a bliss-filled wedding & long life together.
